11. Lifecycle
Managing a product through it's lifecycle
This is where you can move the products from one status to the next as part of its lifecycle. For more information, see the definition of product lifecycle.
When you click on the Lifecycle tab, you will see a summary of the information which is available and set against the products, for example how many documents, videos, links, et cetera have been created. Whilst not all of these are compulsory, the summary here gives you a good sense check of how complete your product information is. You can also see the same information for product variants if the product is part of a product family.
Moving a product from set up to live
When the product is in the status of Setup, it will not appear on the website until it's made Live. When you are ready to start trading the product, click on the lifecycle tab and click on the Publish to Live button. After a few moments, you will see the status of the product change live. The product will now be listed on the website after the next web site update schedule has run.
Moving a product into clearance
To move a product to clearance, in the clearance section of this tab, enter a clearance price and click the Move to Clearance button.
