3.2 Media: Documents

Downloadable documents

You can hold a collection of documents against each individual product. Where the product is a member of a product family, these documents will be shown on the web site for every variant of the product.

ProDigi currently supports .pdf and .doc files. To add documents, click on the UPLOAD FILE(S) button and navigate to the location of the document, or drag and drop the document(s) onto the area provided.

ProDigi will list all the documents which are associated with product. You can click to edit these, and change the visible name of the product of the document which will should be shown to the customer - for example you might have a document from a manufacturer named "Installation instructions for product specification ABC123" but want to show the web site user the much simpler "Installation Guide" as the link to the document.

ProDigi will manage all uploaded document file names and locations for you.  You can click on the 'download cloud' icon to download and check the document if unsure.

When the document is set to active, it will be shown to the customer on the wed site Product Details Page. To hide it, you can set the document to inactive: it will still be held in ProDigi, but will not be shown on the website.

You may wish to preview any changes that you have made.
